Return, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Effective Date: August 14, 2026

1. Purpose of This Policy

This Return, Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how SkyOS Air Ticket Services (“SkyOS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles cancellation requests, ticket changes, refunds, travel credits, and refunds for certain travel-related services purchased through SkyOS.

Because airline tickets and travel services are governed by the rules of the applicable airline, supplier, fare, and transaction, the exact refund outcome may differ from one booking to another. This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, booking confirmation, fare rules, and any transaction-specific disclosures.

2. Important: Airline Tickets Are Not Ordinary Retail Products

Airline tickets generally do not have a universal “return” period like ordinary retail merchandise. Whether a ticket can be cancelled, changed, credited, or refunded depends primarily on the applicable fare rules, airline policy, the reason for cancellation, the status of the flight, and applicable law.

Accordingly, a request to “return” a ticket will be treated as a cancellation or refund request and evaluated under the applicable booking rules.

3. Who Determines Refund Eligibility?

Refund eligibility may depend on:

  • The airline or carrier operating or marketing the flight.
  • The fare type and fare rules purchased.
  • Whether the ticket is refundable, non-refundable, partially refundable, or subject to conditions.
  • Whether the passenger has used any portion of the ticket.
  • Whether the airline cancelled the flight or made a significant change.
  • Whether a government or other legally recognized circumstance creates a refund right.
  • Whether SkyOS or another party is the merchant of record for the transaction.
  • Any applicable SkyOS service, processing, or administrative fee that was disclosed before purchase.
  • Applicable federal and state law.

SkyOS will not promise a refund before reviewing the actual booking and applicable rules.

4. Customer-Initiated Cancellation

If you want to cancel a booking, contact SkyOS as soon as possible using the contact information below.

A customer-initiated cancellation may result in:

  • A full refund, if the fare and applicable rules permit it.
  • A partial refund.
  • An airline cancellation penalty or other supplier charge.
  • A fare or service fee that is non-refundable under the disclosed terms.
  • A travel credit or voucher instead of a cash refund, where permitted and accepted by the customer.
  • No refund where the ticket is non-refundable and no legal or supplier exception applies.

Do not assume that failing to travel (“no-showing”) automatically creates a refund right. No-show consequences are governed by the applicable airline and fare rules.

5. Airline Cancellation or Significant Schedule Change

If an airline cancels a flight or makes a significant change to a flight to, from, or within the United States, applicable U.S. Department of Transportation rules may provide a right to a refund when the passenger does not accept the alternative transportation or other compensation offered.

Where SkyOS is the applicable merchant of record for the airfare, SkyOS will provide or facilitate any refund that SkyOS is legally responsible for providing. Where another party is the merchant of record, the refund may need to be processed by that party.

SkyOS will assist customers in identifying the applicable options and, where appropriate, submitting or processing the refund request.

6. Refunds for Qualifying U.S. Airline Cancellations or Significant Changes

Under applicable U.S. Department of Transportation rules, when a covered airline cancels or significantly changes a flight and the passenger does not accept the alternative transportation, travel credit, voucher, or other compensation offered, a refund may be required.

For covered transactions, the refund generally concerns the unused portion of the transportation and applicable qualifying fees and taxes. The exact amount can depend on what portion of the itinerary has already been used and the applicable rules.

Current DOT guidance states that when a ticket agent is the merchant of record, the ticket agent is responsible for making proper airfare refunds when due for flights to, from, or within the United States.

7. Refund Timing

When a refund is legally due, the timing will follow applicable law and the role of the responsible merchant or ticket agent.

For covered U.S. airline refunds, current DOT rules generally require refunds within 7 business days for credit-card purchases and within 20 calendar days for other payment methods, once the refund is due.

After SkyOS submits or processes a refund, the time required for the payment institution or card issuer to post the funds to the customer's account may vary. SkyOS cannot control a bank's or card issuer's internal posting time.

8. 24-Hour Cancellation Rule

Federal U.S. rules require airlines, for qualifying reservations made at least seven days before scheduled departure, to either allow a 24-hour penalty-free cancellation and full refund or allow the consumer to hold the reservation for 24 hours without payment.

However, DOT states that this specific airline 24-hour reservation/refund requirement does not apply to tickets purchased through travel agents, online travel agencies, or other third-party agents.

Therefore, customers who purchase through SkyOS should not assume that a universal federal 24-hour cancellation right applies to their SkyOS transaction. The applicable booking terms, airline rules, SkyOS disclosures, and law will determine the available cancellation options.

9. Refunds for Non-Refundable Tickets

A non-refundable ticket is generally refundable only when the applicable airline rules or applicable law create a refund right or an exception applies.

Depending on the circumstances, a non-refundable ticket may instead qualify for a future travel credit, rebooking, waiver, or other option. Any such option is subject to the airline's terms and may have expiration dates, restrictions, fare differences, or other conditions.

SkyOS will communicate available options when they are known and applicable.

10. Partially Used Tickets

If part of an itinerary has already been flown or otherwise used, any refund will generally be limited by the applicable fare rules and the value of the unused portion.

A customer should contact SkyOS before abandoning or changing a partially used itinerary because a no-show or unauthorized change may affect remaining flight segments and refund or credit eligibility.

11. No-Show Policy

If a passenger does not appear for a scheduled flight without cancelling or changing the reservation in accordance with the applicable rules, the airline may classify the booking as a no-show.

A no-show may cause the airline to cancel remaining segments, forfeit certain fare value, or impose other restrictions. SkyOS cannot guarantee a refund or credit for a no-show.

If you know you will not travel, contact SkyOS as early as possible before the scheduled departure.

12. SkyOS Service, Processing and Administrative Fees

SkyOS may charge separate service, processing, administrative, consultation, or other fees where those fees are disclosed before purchase or otherwise permitted by applicable law.

A SkyOS service fee is separate from the airline's fare, airline penalties, government taxes, baggage charges, seat charges, and other third-party charges unless expressly stated otherwise.

An airline-approved airfare refund does not automatically make a separately disclosed SkyOS service fee refundable. Any applicable fee refundability will be governed by the transaction-specific terms and applicable law.

13. Travel Credits and Vouchers

When a refund is not available but the airline or supplier offers a travel credit or voucher, SkyOS may communicate or facilitate that option.

Travel credits and vouchers may have restrictions concerning passenger name, route, travel dates, expiration, transferability, fare differences, and other conditions. The applicable airline or supplier controls those conditions unless SkyOS expressly states otherwise.

A customer is not required to accept a travel credit in circumstances where applicable law requires a monetary refund and the customer is entitled to that refund.

14. Payment Method and Refund Method

When a refund is due, it will generally be returned using the original form of payment or another method permitted by applicable law and the transaction circumstances.

SkyOS may request additional information reasonably necessary to verify the transaction, prevent fraud, or process the refund. We will not ask customers to provide unnecessary sensitive information by ordinary email.

15. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

To request a cancellation or refund, contact:

Please provide, where available:

  • Passenger name.
  • Booking reference/confirmation number.
  • Ticket number.
  • Travel dates and itinerary.
  • Date and approximate time of purchase.
  • Reason for the cancellation or refund request.
  • Preferred contact information.

For security, do not email full payment-card numbers, CVV/security codes, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

16. Refund Review Process

After receiving a request, SkyOS may review:

  • The booking record and ticket status.
  • 1. The applicable fare rules.
  • 2. Airline cancellation and refund conditions.
  • 3. Whether any flight was cancelled or significantly changed.
  • 4. Whether any portion of the ticket was used.
  • 5. Any applicable waiver or exception.
  • 6. The merchant-of-record arrangement.
  • 7. Applicable federal or state law.
  • 8. Any separately disclosed SkyOS service fees.

SkyOS will then communicate the available cancellation, refund, credit, or rebooking options based on the information available.

17. Refunds for Optional Services

Refund treatment for optional services such as seats, baggage, priority services, meals, or other ancillary products may be governed by the airline or supplier.

Refund treatment for optional services such as seats, baggage, priority services, meals, or other ancillary products may be governed by the airline or supplier.

18. Errors, Duplicate Charges and Unauthorized Transactions

If you believe you were charged twice, charged an incorrect amount, or charged for a transaction you did not authorize, contact SkyOS promptly.

SkyOS may investigate transaction records and coordinate with the relevant payment processor, bank, airline, or booking provider. Customers should also promptly notify their card issuer or financial institution where appropriate.

19. Refunds and Fraud Prevention

SkyOS may delay or require additional verification before processing a refund when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, identity theft, payment abuse, or unauthorized refund requests.

SkyOS will not require customers to pay an unrelated fee merely to “unlock” a refund that is otherwise due. Any legitimate service or transaction fee will be disclosed in accordance with applicable law and the transaction terms.

20. Disputes and Chargebacks

Customers should contact SkyOS first when a booking, cancellation, or refund issue arises so that we can review the transaction and attempt to resolve it.

If a customer initiates a chargeback or payment dispute, SkyOS may provide the relevant booking, payment, ticketing, cancellation, and communication records to the payment processor or financial institution as permitted by law.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights or remedies.

21. Policy Changes

SkyOS may update this Return, Cancellation & Refund Policy when its services, supplier arrangements, technology, or legal obligations change. The updated policy will be posted on the Website with a revised effective date.

The version applicable to a particular booking may also depend on the terms and disclosures presented at the time of purchase, together with applicable airline and legal requirements.
